Even if Portugal is not taking part in Eurovision 2013, the country could see itself represented by Moldova in Malmo. Vasco Cardoso, a 19 year old from Oporto and Rúben Pacheco, a 22 year old from the Azores are responsible for producing the melody to “A Brighter Day” which is being performed by national finalist Tatiana Heghea. Michael James Down, a regular at national finals, composed the lyrics. Tatiana was herself a backing vocalist when Pasha Parfeny represented Moldova in Baku at Eurovision 2012.
